Chapter 16 Far Away From Home
- The video call came in just as Nadia was prepping for bed and brushing her teeth in the ensuite bathroom attached to the guest bedroom in which she slept. So, as she accepted the call with a mouthful of toothpaste, she pushed the phone away to the other end of the long, grey marble sink. Unfortunately, the absence of her face onscreen caused a mild panic.
- "Hello?"
- "Nadia?"
