Chapter 21 Finding Out About James
- With tear-filled eyes, the mother of the little boy pointed at her son. The little boy's father turned his head and saw the change that had taken place. The little boy's face began to turn red and he began to take deep breaths. He seemed to be stabilizing and his breathing difficulties were diminishing.
- "Epinephrine," James replied as he pointed to the syringe he had just used. "This is a drug used to treat severe allergic reactions like anaphylaxis. It helps to open the airways and increase blood pressure."
- The boy's father looked confused, but he was no longer holding James. He looked at his son who was slowly starting to breathe more easily.
