Chapter 59
- The entire setup was breathtaking. A tent with a pale blue canopy had been erected, separated by a curtain of darker, heavier blue and a delicate shade of pale pink. Modern, exquisite lamps adorned the exterior, casting an enchanting glow that bathed the entire area in a fairytale-like ambiance. It truly was a sight to behold, though the whole scene was interspersed with some peculiar elements, like the odd photo booth featuring a werewolf devouring a person and the lively beats of "Fergalicious" emanating from within. It was a strangely wonderful mishmash, and I couldn't help but feel grateful to be a part of it.
- As I scanned the crowd, my eyes settled on Kira, and I couldn't help but break into a smile as I waved at her. She was dancing with Joah, swaying her hips to the music, and she waved back in response. My gaze then landed on Flora, who stood there, observing the revelry with a quizzical expression and perhaps the most judgmental resting bitch face I had seen in months. Maybe that was just her natural look, or perhaps she enjoyed being perceived that way. I couldn't quite figure her out.
- Harry had arrived earlier to fix the lights, and I had invited him to join us later to celebrate the last day of the fair, even if he couldn't or wouldn't attend the dance. I, on the other hand, was running a couple of hours late, which explained the general disarray of the people around me.
