Chapter 8
- The witches murmured among themselves. Can the white witch of Ivory coast be serious about finding them?. Knowing their thoughts, she asked them to move closer to her. After a few enchantments, the twins came to view. They watched in awe as they perform the healing spell on Alora. They chanted happily. This is indeed a great news to them, as their time of suffering is about to come to an end.
- The meeting ended and they all returned to their various homes happily. Despite receiving this good news, some certain people see this news as a way of getting into more trouble. Among them is Ariana the daughter of Ella, the white witch of Ivory Coast. She had this feeling and also been blessed with the gift of seeing the future, sighted an impending doom. Being extremely worried, she walked up to her mother to know the next plan. "Mother" she cooed. Ella raised her head to look at her seventeen years old daughter, who was dressed in a black flowing gown. Ari held her clammy hands together, not knowing where to start from.
- "Are you ok, Ari?" Her mom asked
- She nodded, holding her flowing gown. "Mother , can I talk to you for a while?"
- "Sure. Come sit"
- She sat beside her mother. "Mother, now that Alora has found the twin. What's the next step?"
- "Why did you ask?"
- "Nothing. I just thought I should ask after the welfare of the people "
- Her mother stared at her suspiciously "Did you see a vision again?"
- She chuckled nervously. "No mother. I was just curious"
- Her mother frowned. "You're lying to me. Tell me what did you see this time?"
- "I.. .."
- "Start talking, Ariana" her mom yelled and she flinched.
- Tears drip down Ariana's face. "I... I... I saw impending doom, mother. It was so real that I could feel the pain. I saw death, mother. I saw the end of the witches. The twins will fail"
- Ella trembled. "That can't be!! They are our only hope. There have to be another solution" she turned to face her daughter. "Ari, stop crying and go inside. I'll go to the sacred room to confirm "
- Ariana sniffed and stood up. She walked into the house. She just hopes her mother finds a lasting solution that will bring an end to the black witch of Ivory Coast.
- HUMAN REALM
- It's been over an hour now and the strange lady is yet to open her eyes. Jabal and Jasmine felt so nervous and sacred. She had closed her eyes, right after she took the mixture and had refused to open up those eyes. Jabal pace around , while Jasmine sat beside the strange lady, unable to utter a word. They both knew Beverly and Jamal will be so worried sick about them. And their dad will be back soon. Jabal stopped pacing and turned in Jasmine's direction. "Do you think we leave her alone?"
- Jasmine furrowed her brows. "You... You mean we should leave her alone? We can't do that. What if she dies?"
- Jabal walked closer to her and squat. He held her hands into his. "She won't. I know she won't. She will do just fine"
- "We can't leave. Please don't let us leave her"
- He tilted his head in confusion. He can't stay back for fear of been caught and he can't leave his sister alone with a total stranger. "What are we to do then?"
- Jasmine sigh. "We can only hope for the best". Jabal nodded and there was total silence.
- They had someone coughed and turned towards the direction. "She.....she....she's awake" Jasmine shrieked happily. Jabal smiled.
- The strange lady stared at them. "What happened?"
- "You passed out after taking the mixture" Jasmine answered
- "It's been over an hour now. You startled us. We were so worried about you. We thought you were dead" Jabal complained
- The strange lady smiled wearily. "I'm sorry if I frightened you both"
- Jasmine held her hand. "How do you feel now?"
- "I feel better and lighthearted"
- Jasmine chuckled, while Jabal groaned. He stood up. "Jas, we should go back home"
- "We can't just leave her alone here"
- "We also can't take her home with us"
- "You don't have to argue about me. I'll do just fine"
- Jasmine stood up. "Are you sure?". The strange lady nodded. "You haven't told us your name"
- She smiled. "Neither did you. By the way, my name is Alora"
- "I'm Jasmine and this is my twin brother, Jabal"
- Alora smiled. "Thanks for saving my life. Jasmine and Jabal"
- "We are glad to be of assistance," Jasmine said
- "You not we please"Jabal murmured and Jasmine giggled
- "You should go back. Your dad will be home soon"
- Jabal furrowed his brows. "How did you know that?"
- She smiled. "Let's just say I'm gifted" Jasmine rolled her eyes. "You both should leave now"
- "Do we get to see you again?" Jasmine asked, curiosity eating her up
- "Yes, you will. But right now, you have to keep this meeting a secret ok?". They both nodded their heads. "And your hair, you both should dye them more often, cause the closer you get to your birthday, the whiter and reddish they will become"
- Jasmine furrowed her brows. "What do you mean?". Alora ignored her question. It isn't the right time to tell them about their real identity. They will have to learn about who they are when their powers finally manifest.
- "Bye Jasmine, bye Jabal.Hope to see you soon" Alora said and vanished
- Jasmine flinched in shock, while Jabal rolled his eyes. "We should get going"
- Jasmine raised her brows. "Are we walking back home?"
- Jabal chuckled. "How did you get here in the first place?"
- "I ran all the way here. I can't believe I did"
- "You had better believe, cause that's the same way we're going back"
- Jasmine furrowed her brows. "You're kidding me right?"
- Jabal giggled. "Meet me at home." He dashed off in speed
- "Wait for me!!" Jasmine yelled and ran after him.
