Chapter 5
- Mathematics class to Jabal is a prison in disguise. But to Jasmine; although she had never been on good terms with the teacher; is still heaven in paradise. As usual, Jabal kept groaning and turning on his seat. He sighs, taps his fingers on the desk, and groaned. "Can you stop doing that?" Jasmine whispered and Jabal groaned. "You're causing distractions"
- They were seated beside each other. Beverly and Alvin are seated together, just behind them.
- "What do you like in Maths?" Jabal whispered back. She rolled her eyes but ignored him. "Jasmine" he called, trying to piss her off.
- "It's Jas, not Jasmine"
- He relaxed his back and chuckled "it's Jasmine I know not Jas as you said"
- She furrowed her brows. "Are you for real?"
- "Jas!! Jabal!! Up!!" Mr. Spooner yelled. They stood up. "What's the discussion about?"
- Jabal sigh. "How much I hate maths" he mumbled
- Mr. Spooner raised an eyebrow. "What did you say?"
- Jabal chuckled. "Nothing"
- "That's a lie. You said you hate maths"
- Jabal groaned. "It isn't like I lie" he murmured
- "Jabal you just got yourself a detention"
- He sighs contentedly. "That's a dream come true," he thought
- Jasmine raised are head up. "Really?"
- "And you too, Jas"
- "But sir....."
- Jabal giggled. "Welcome to the club sweety"
- Jasmine groaned and carried her bag. "Sir?"Beverly called
- Mr. Spooner raised his head. "Yes, Beverly"
- "I think you're being unfair here"
- "I think so too" Alvin supported
- Mer Spooner arranged his eyeglass. "Detention for you both. Now four of you should get out of my class!!"
- They took their bags and dragged their feet, out of the class. "Beverly, Alvin, why would you both do that?" Jasmine asked when they were out of the class.
- Alvin chuckled. "It isn't like I like Maths in the first place"
- "Jabal chuckled. "Trust me, I hate it as much and you do"
- Jasmine groaned. "You both are birds of a feather. You have to flock together"
- Jabal giggled. "You can say or you want. I'm out of maths class. That's what matters"
- Beverly sigh. "We should better go now. Won't want to get another detention"
- "Me too" Jasmine answered
- Jabal rolled his eyes. "For maths, I'll want more and more"
- Alvin chuckled. "Me too"
- Jasmine groaned. "You both should suit yourself. Beverly let's go"

- It was lunch break. They were all seated around the table. Jasmine, Jabal, Jamal, Alvin, and Beverly. Different varieties of food were on the table. Students kept staring at them. Some wondering why Beverly is the only female among them. Others were admiring the cute faces. "Hey! !. Eyes front!!" Jasmine barked at the girl who was staring lustfully at her.
- Jabal chuckled. "Chill Sis. She thought you're a male"
- Jasmine groaned. "Shut the hell up and face your business!!"
- Javal rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Alvin pass me the shrimps"
- "Sure"
- Jamal rolled his eyes. "Are you two up to it again?"
- Jabal relaxed on his chair. "You know how Jasmine is"
- "If there is anyone to complain, it should be me cause you're a pain in the ass"
- Jabal giggled and Alvin groaned. "Enough of your twin's fight. How are we celebrating your birthday?"
- Beverly chuckled. "You guys will be having a party right?"
- Jabal giggled. "Of course. We are making plans already"
- "What the heck are you talking about?"
- Jabal groaned. "Come on"
- "Come on?. The last time I checked, we didn't sit to make any plans"
- "We did. You might have forgotten"
- "I did not. You just don't want to accept your fault"
- "Are......"
- Jamal groaned. "It's getting hot again"
- Alvin groaned too. "It so going to be hot"
- Jasmine made to say something but the bell made her stopped. She stood up, pushing the plates roughly. "I'm going to class"
- Jamal stood up. "I should go too "
- Alvin groaned. "I haven't even eaten a handful,"
- Jasmine rolled her eyes. "Everyone knows you're a foodie,"
- "I'm not a foodie" Alvin defended
- "Of course you are"
- Jamal groaned." I'll beave you guys to your argument"
- Jabal sigh. "You'd better do"
- "You're not leaving ok?" Jasmine said
- "Can she just stop being a pain?" Alvin thought
- Jasmine groaned. "I heard that ?"
- Alvin gasped."You heard what?"
- Jabal rolled his eyes. "That she should just stop being a pain"
- "I never heard that," Beverly said
- "I think I do" Jamal replied
- "But I never said that out," Alvin said
- "You did. I heard it clearly" Jabal said
- "Me too," Jasmine said
- "Me three" Jamal supported
- Alvin groaned. "Let's head to class ok?"
- "I think you should. I'm going" Jamal left, leaving them with few other students

- It's time to go home. Jasmine stood up to arrange her books. " What are your plans for the birthday?" Alvin asked
- Jasmine groaned. "Can you stop asking the same question?"
- "Really?"
- Beverly groaned. "Yeah really. You've asked that same question for the umpteenth time"
- "You girls should free him, ok?. He's just been caring"
- Jasmine rolled her eyes. "We should go home ok?. I feel so tired"
- Jamal walked in. "Are you all planning to leave without me?"
- Alvin chuckled. "No. We were planning their birthday"
- Jamal smiled. "That's nice?"
- Jasmine yawned. "We ain't talking about nothing ok. If you want to plan anything that should be during the weekend"
- Jabal raised an eyebrow. "Is that a yes to planning......"
- "It's a yes ok. Now can we go home?"
- Alvin groaned. "Suit yourself," he said in his mind
- "You say?" Jasmine asked
- "He said suit yourself" Jabal answered
- Alvin's eyes widen. "I never said that out"
- Jabal groaned. "You did"
- "I didn't"
- "I didn't hear that," Beverly said
- Jasmine groaned. It so strange how she and her twin could hear Alvin speak and yet he claims he never said it out. She sigh. It seems something strange is happening to them which they are yet to unveil.
