Chapter 22

• There was silence in the car, with everyone lost in their thought. What danger awaits them? they don't know. How big or disastrous the danger will be, is hidden from them. If they will survive the danger or not, that also they know nothing about. They couldn't stare at each other's faces. "Ari?. Ariana" a voice called. They shivered. Who could have called Ariana amid nowhere?. Does she know someone here and did not tell them?. Ariana was afraid too. She was sure she doesn't know anyone here. Maybe that's the sign of the danger that awaits them. She feels the very moment she answers, they might be doomed. "Ariana?" The voice called again. This time, it was louder. They exchanged glances. "Ari, it's Mira. I just want to know if you're safe"
• Ariana batted her lashes. It can't be Mira, right?. She doubted it could be. But the voice, it seems she knows the voice. The voice is beginning to sound more familiar. It was the voice she had grew up to love. The voice she had spent most of her life listening to. That voice could only belong to the one girl she had kept as a friend. It has to be Mira's voice. She rolled her eyes. What if it's a plan to get them?. What if it's a test?. She remembered her mom once said something about the tests and puzzles she encountered when she visited Alaska. "This must be one of the tests," she thought
