• "Are you okay?" Lycus was beside me immediately. His hands on my waist and I leaned in to accept his touch, rubbing my head against his chest, "You sounded like you were in pain."
• "I am fine." I sighed looking up at him. His dark eyes peered down at me with a hint of guilt and remorse. I felt the emotions from him almost immediately now that our mate bond was restored, "You shouldn't be sorry Lycus, it's not your fault." I spoke out knowing very well what he was thinking, "None of us expected this and in the end we would be free." I reached out a hand and skimmed my fingers across his face, "I love you."
