• "You need to get her out of here!" My mother growled as she and Willow stood guard pressing themselves against the door of Xerxes's chambers, "I don't think we can hold them off any longer."
• I looked at Nyx laying on the bed half awake, half asleep as Xerxes applied the healing potions on her. I fisted my hands taking in deep breaths as the urge to mate and mark her worsened, first, it was her heat scent driving me crazy and now the anger that came with the unmated wolves outside the door banging on it to claim my mate.
