Chapter 239

• It tightened its hold on my neck as I trashed around and around trying to get it off and then the laughter came again before the pain of the blade tearing through my flesh and being imbedded in my abdomen seared through me and I screamed for all I was worth but there still was no sound.
• Tears streamed down my face as the knife was twisted again deepening the wound despite Cora's efforts to heal it.
• The lights blinked and the laughter sounded again like it was rejoicing at bringing me down. I squeezed my eyes shut writhing in pain as the laughter faded and the next time I opened my eyes, the lights were back on and the thing was gone but my wound wasn't.
