Chapter 12 Linara's Scheme

  • It was foreseeable that this was just the beginning.
  • In the future, she will surely steal everything I have, bit by bit.
  • Linara felt it hard to breathe.
  • She put on a smile after taking a deep breath and sat down in front of her.
  • "Seraphina, there's a small gathering tomorrow. Would you like to join me?"
  • In the previous life, she had been so considerate as well.
  • Seraphina's lips curved up. "No, I don't even know them."
  • Linara seemed to have anticipated this and said what she had prepared. "Those people are either Dad and Mom's friends or business partners' children. As a daughter of the Whitewood Family, you must get along with them. Don't worry, I'll take good care of you."
  • "Since you say so, then I'll go and have a look."
  • Linara couldn't hide her joy when Seraphina agreed. Before leaving, she reminded and said, "Seraphina, you can't wear such clothes to that kind of event."
  • Her gaze swept over Seraphina's white shirt and jeans.
  • Seraphina humbly asked, "Then, what should I wear?"
  • I got her!
  • Linara's voice grew even softer. "It's too late to buy clothes now, and you won't find anything good. Fortunately, there are many new clothes left for you in the wardrobe. They're all brand new, I've never worn them. You don't mind, do you?"
  • As she spoke, she looked at Seraphina with a worried and anxious expression, as if afraid she would be picky.
  • Seraphina smiled silently and took her hand. "Linara, why would I mind? I'm grateful for what you've done."
  • "As long as you don't mind." Linara smiled happily and continued, "You should rest early. Don't ruin your beautiful skin."
  • Linara jealously stared at her glowing smooth, fair skin.
  • Though they were the same age, Seraphina's face seemed to have more collagen than hers.
  • Every woman wanted their skin to be better than others. Linara was no exception.
  • "Alright. Linara, you should also rest early and take care of your skin. Otherwise, people might think you're two or three years older than me," Seraphina said considerately.
  • In an instant, Linara felt suffocated, her expression stiffened.
  • "You rest early. Good night."
  • As Linara turned away, her smile vanished, replaced by a look of resentment.
  • Seraphina watched her leave. Once the door was completely closed, her smile gradually turned cold.
  • She pulled out a wet wipe and gently wiped her hand repeatedly until it was red, then stopped.
  • Back in her bedroom, Linara thought about that hateful person sitting in what was originally her place.
  • The anger and hatred that had been suppressed in her heart erupted. She swept all the cosmetics off her vanity.
  • The sound of crashing items echoed through the room.
  • "Linara, what happened?" Chloe's concerned voice came from outside.
  • Linara was very annoyed and didn't want to see her at that moment.
  • She took a few deep breaths to make her voice sound normal. "Nothing, I accidentally knocked things over. Mom, you should go to sleep."
  • Standing outside the door, Chloe knew her daughter's temperament. She didn't want to upset Linara further since she didn't invite her in.
  • "Be sure to tell me if there's anything," said Chloe considerately.
  • "Okay."
  • After Chloe left, Linara's anger flared up again, her eyes dark and sinister.
  • No one can take what belonged to me. Seraphina, so what if you are the biological daughter of the Whitewood Family? One day, everything will belong to me, and only me.
