Chapter 5 Annie Is Back At Her Father's Mansion

• "What kind of force did that vampire unleash on Amelia? Was it that brutal that it caused her to be unconscious up to now? Ugh! This made my day even worse!". Annie said and was a little furious. Just a while ago, before she met those two vampires, she announced to Amelia about how tired she was. And now look, her whole situation got doubled!. How was she going to reach that damn mansion in time with her carrying Amelia?
• "Seriously, don't these vampires have any means of transportation here? But wait, since I'm one of the strongest vampires around here now, am I not supposed to have any special skills or something?". "How would I even know that, I only started being a vampire today!". Annie complained even more until her eyes met with some strange-looking creatures that were kept in a large old-looking field shop.
• Annie halted.
• "Huh?. What are those things? You have got to be kidding me. Those creatures all look like the pets vampires own in movies. I never thought I'd get to see one of those in real life!". Annie said. And although she tried to force herself to smile as she watched the creatures, the frown on her face was too much because she was not feeling okay now. "Too bad I don't have the time now to own any creatures. And even if I must own one, then it must be the most powerful one that I can rely on sometimes. Plus, I'm broke now. I don't have a dime on me in this world to buy anything". Annie hissed as she said.
• She further complained about the real host of her body, "What kind of life did you live in that mansion that made you this broke, Annie?!. I can't afford to be broke! I'm a multi-billionaire in my own world for crying out loud!".
• Annie stopped complaining when she noticed that all eyes were on her. Her emotions got the best of her so that she ended up yelling out the words she was not supposed to yell out.
• 'I should probably get out of here'. Annie thought and left afterward.
• Upon the journey to the mansion, Annie's beautiful face and attractive body figure attract lots of vampires' attention to her.
• Even most female vampires who saw Annie were really jealous of her. And if only they were given the opportunity, they'd have scratched the beautiful face off of Annie's body.
• "Finally!. I can't believe I walked such a long distance just to get here". Annie announced and was panting really fast. Her shoulder was already feeling so heavy and painful from carrying Amelia for a long time.
• "Hmm. This stupid mansion, Here comes Annie". She said with a smirk which appeared on her lips.
• Just with Annie standing outside in front of the large wooden gates of the mansion, all the memories of the real host— of how she was being maltreated, flashed inside Annie's memory again. "So some parents can actually be this wicked?. And here I was, thinking mine were cruel for leaving me behind". "Let's just get this over with". Annie muttered as she went and knocked on the large wooden gates.
• When the gates were finally opened, Annie thought that her journey was over and that she was going to be allowed inside, but she thought wrong. The guards stationed at the gates pretended not to know her and even had the audacity to refuse her from entering.
• "Who are you? Return to where you're coming from at once!". The leader of the guards, who had a harsh face and muscular body, announced to Annie and in total disrespect.
• "Who am I?". Annie muttered and her face darkened.
• The muscular leader of the guards, including the other two guards, got goosebumps all over them after witnessing the sudden change of Annie's aura.
• "Are you guys really sure you want to know who I am?". Annie threatened.
• After seeing Annie threaten them, the muscular leader of the guards laughed out at her with a mocking tone. He even pointed his finger at Annie as he said, "Just look at this wretched and low-ranked vampire. Don't think you can buy your way inside this mansion by trying to act tough all of a sudden. The Madam of this mansion never wants to see you, so get lost!".
• "Oh, is that so? I didn't even know I was trying to act tough". Annie admitted. She felt the pain in her shoulder increase, causing her facial expression to darken more. "Now you'll know whether I'm trying to act tough or not!". Annie declared and when the muscular leader of the guards scoffed at her, she unleashed her power and launched an attack against him.
• [Swoosh!]. The muscular guard fell roughly on the ground and his rips broke instantly, and not only that, he also lost consciousness.
• Seeing what had just happened, the remaining two guards immediately cowered away in fear.
• "Good riddance to all of you!. I'd like to see anyone who dares to ever mess or cross paths with me! I'm not that old Annie who takes nonsense!". Annie declared and, without any hint of fear, she walked through the gates and boldly marched inside the mansion!.
• Annie journeyed into the mansion through the main gate. Although many of the other guards who were inside the mansion tried to prevent Annie from advancing further, she easily overpowered them all.
• "Just look at what the real host missed. So naive of her. If I had these powers in my own world, I would have destroyed every useless, greedy government and become the ruler instead". Annie declared as she was satisfied seeing all the guards who wanted to hurt her, unconscious on the ground.
• The blooming flower pavilion,
• "Grace, beauty, and a charming spirit. Everything one could ever wish for a daughter to possess. You have them all, my beautiful daughter". Mila praised Aria, her one and only adorable daughter who she dotes on. She can even go an extra mile just to get the best thing for her beloved Aria.
• "Thanks Mom. You are the best Mom in the whole world to me". Aria admitted as she proudly walked over to sit with her Mom on the exquisitely designed silver chair. "Mother, do you think that my elder brother will inherit father's property someday?". Aria asked. Although Aria was indeed sure about this, she only wanted to confirm it again from her main source, which was her Mom.
• "Of course, my dear daughter. With that bitch gone, who do you think would inherit the property and the family’s legacy? And even if she does come back, I'll make her leave this world for good! Just like her bitch Mom already did".
• Aria smirked wickedly after hearing from her Mom. During all her life, Aria had always hated Annie. Maybe it was because Annie was the first legitimate and eldest daughter of the mansion.
• "Mother, I think I'll take my leave then. My body feels drained, and I need some blood to refresh myself". Aria announced to Mila. She stood up and bowed in respect to Mila afterward. ‘Gosh, I can't believe that we vampires have to rely on the blood of those stinking humans!’. Aria remained calm as she thought to herself.
• "Go on, my child. Get well-prepared also.... You know your engagement party to Waylen is just in a few days". Mila announced with a proud smile.
• Aria also smiled after hearing from her Mother. Indeed, Waylen was supposed to marry Annie, but because of the way Mila had manipulated Waylen into thinking that Annie was totally useless, it made Waylen change his mind and decide to marry Aria instead. Even Ethan, Annie's biological father, agreed with the changes because he dotes on Aria compared to Annie.
• (Quick note: Annie of this world is the only daughter of Ethan's first legitimate wife, who was already dead. Mila is the second wife and also, the stepmother to Annie).
• "Yes Mother". Aria replied to Mila and turned to take her leave when she then saw a maidservant run inside the grand pavilion— where her and her mom were. "How dare you low-ranked vampire interrupt your superiors!". Aria raised her voice against the maidservant, who immediately fell on her knees and bowed her head in fear.
• "Speak!". Mila's voice scared the cats out of the maidservant, but that didn't refrain her from speaking.
• "The eldest daughter of the Mansion is back, Madam!". The maidservant announced with a pale face after seeing the furious look on both Mila and Aria's faces.
• Mila's face darkened even more after hearing what the maidservant had announced to her.
• On the other hand, Aria grabbed the silk dress she was wearing and clenched it tightly with hatred after she heard what the maidservant reported. 'Why did she come back!?. That useless duck! She should die and leave my family!'. Aria gritted her teeth so hard as she thought.
• With great force, Mila got up from her silver seat. "I'll deal with that bitch for good this time around! She'd wish she had never returned!". Mila announced and went out in anger.
