• They confirmed the six-hour time limit twice the next day, and both agreed that it wasn’t as long as they’d like, but it was better than Maddy going to work with Colin every day.
• Maddy had forgotten what it was like to learn how to use the portals—it was even more interesting with Colin because he didn’t have the magical ability to know when someone of the non-magical variety was too close to the portal exit being used. Twice they had to scramble fast to appear like they had been there the whole time.
