Chapter 34

• Maddy sighed, relieved that he was going to leave her alone for a few minutes. Setting the book down she turned to go get another one and walked right into him. In one blurred movement she found herself flung up over his shoulder and was looking at the floor. “Colin! What are you doing?” She tried to flip herself upright.
• He clamped his arm around her legs and turned towards the door. “You’re going to have something to eat and then you’re going to tell me what’s wrong.”
• “What’s wrong?” She shrieked. “Other than being manhandled you mean?” Maddy struggled again, she couldn’t see with her hair hanging almost to the floor.
