• The water sluiced down Maddy’s body, washing away all the tension. She smiled and tipped her head back to rinse the remaining conditioner. She was beginning to think they weren’t going to find anything that would work. The timer in the kitchen was set to go off every half hour so they could check it often before going to bed.
