Chapter 91

• Evander spent the whole night with me in my room. Evander was a little upset that I didn’t get enough sleep but he knew how much I wanted to savor each second with him, knowing he had to leave again to deal with the rats inside his pack in the morning.
• He was a little wary of my dad but I managed to convince him to eat with us. Dad, as I expected, was not surprised to see him walk with me inside the dining hall. He was already sitting at the head of the table, waiting for me—or maybe us.
• He was the one who asked Evander to come here for me anyway. And for that, I was really grateful.
