• “Hey, I told you you can’t go here, Alec. What if Dad sees us here?” I smiled at him. We were hiding in the stable where no one visits at this kind of hour. Everyone was busy having dinner and the stableman was done tending on the horses. His return would be tomorrow morning.
• “Then let him. I don’t care. All I want is to see you, Holly. I don’t care if your Dad will cut off my head if he sees us,” he smiled at me, panting. He must have run his way towards here so he wouldn’t get noticed by the Ambrose sentinels patrolling around the mansion.
