• But he was smiling to himself, saying silently. “You can deal with that mother, now I looked forwarded to how you retake back all the reputation you lost today.”
• Immediately, Jonathan walked away, Lucas and Cassie also followed him, they all make it outside and Cassie stopped a taxi first, she and Lucas board the taxi and it drove away towards the hospital.
• Meanwhile after Lucas display back in the hall, the party mood all disappeared immediately, even Lady Ryan who looked so happy because today was her birthday became moody suddenly.
• Lady Ryan mood took a one and hundred and eighty degree turn immediately when Lucas case in unscathed, she already expect Lucas to be dead meat already, she had even fantasied about how she would manipulate Cassie to her wish.
• First she would stopped all the dividend going to the family, then she would sacked Cassie from her position as the company designer, she would then compulsory it for her to pay back all the family expense on her or she married whom she wanted.
• Lady Ryan was sure that Cassie will have no option than choose the easy way out, at least it would be impossible to pay back all the family expense in her, even she had already sent a message to the Walkins family urging them to get prepared for marriage proposal and dowry of just five percent of the family income.
• “Grandma. The guests are all gone.” Harold said silently to Lady Ryan hearing.
• Lady looked around and found all the guests are truly gone. Her mouth and her face formed contempt.
• “At least they knew what was good for them.” She said in total contempt.
• “That wastrel come back alive.” Harold said and he sat down beside Lady Ryan.
• Lady Ryan looked at Harold in the face sternly. At first when she saw Lucas walked in to that hall, she had thought that Harold failed to killed Lucas, and he lied about been successful.
• But then Lucas confirmed it himself that he was shot and pushed off the cliff to die, hence she wondered how Lucas was able to survived even after that huge life threatening situation.
• Actually Harold did the job perfectly, but what they failed to prepared for was the possibility of another soul taken over Lucas body, which is exactly what happened to Lucas, a vengeance soul is what took over Lucas body.
• Now the new Lucas was different from the Lucas which they always know, this new Lucas was an assassin in his previous life, coupled with the abilities of the Blue Elves, he was now invincible.
• Lady Ryan clapped her hand together in frustration. “I already think that I can now have the Walkins family business in my hand.”
• Who are the Walkins family? They are one of the top richest family in City J, though they might be one of richest family in City J, yet in the whole country, they are just a little fish in a massive ocean, in fact they can only bootlicked some more powerful family.
• The family deal in jewelry design, and they have a soft spot for Cassie who was a genius in making jewelries, thus they approached Lady Ryan to marry Cassie at any price or dowry, at least they believed that having Cassie will be more profitable to the family.
• Meanwhile Harold was in panicked when he remembered Lucas parable to him, he shuddered remembering Lucas confidence and killing expression, he turned to Lady Ryan.
• “Grandma what do we do now, Lucas is alive and he already suspected me as his attacker, even some of the family member can discern the meaning behind his word towards me, they now looked at me with accusation eyes.” Harold said in an helpless tone.
• Actually when Lucas entered the hall an hour ago, Lady Ryan almost rebuked Harold about failing to accomplished just a tiny job perfectly, but then she saw the gunshot wound in Lucas ribs, even Lucas himself admitted to his assassination.
• But what stunned Lady Ryan was how Lucas could be alive, even after he was shot and pushed down Gory cliff.
• “How come he was alive? He was alive and even came back here unhurt, he even have the audacity to go against me, to the point that I am pushed to even shot myself in the leg.” Lady Ryan thought to herself, unknowingly she had spoken out her thought.
• Harold was also startled. “I asked myself the same question too.” He stood up and bend down opposite his grandmother. “Everybody knew about Gory cliff, its impossible to fell from it and survived it, the below was rough, full of different stones of different shape, if that doesn’t kill. Gory cliff was so high, that if you fell from it, you will die or be bedridden, and since the place is cut off from the world, no help will come for you, hence you will eventually die in the end.”
• “Grandma, do you even noticed how he walked in majestically? “ Micky imagined the grandiose entry made by Lucas an jour ago. “It was as if an Emperor of an empire just walked, even for a moment I though nothing was wronged with him in the first place.”
• “Are you concerned about his grandiose entry?” Harold snapped at Micky first. “Don’t you notice how confident he was? It was like I am seeing a new person, because the Lucas I always know was too timid even to look up at his wife in the eye.”
• Harold and Micky began to exchanged words about how Lucas had changed, Lady Ryan became angry at his grandchildren, but she can’t even stopped them from talking, because she herself believed what they said to be true, she also noticed the changes around Lucas, who was always a feeble and timid man in the past, but changed drastically after his proposed accident.
• Lady Ryan was in a deep thought. “What could have happened to him in the cliff?”
• Harold and Micky stopped exchanging words, they turned around and looked back at their grandmother sternly.
• “Does what happened to him matter?” Harold was so ferocious. “To me, he is that useless son-in-law of our family, who don’t dare fight back at us, he lived by whatever we gave to him, and he would die whenever we wanted.”
• Micky also nod her head too. “Lucas was just useless, and he will be useless forever, he was just lucky to be alive.”
• “I even suggest that we make another hit on him, at least he is useless being alive.” Harold said into that show anger.
• “Off course Lucas must die, because I needed Cassie to marry the Walkins family.” Lady Ryan also add.
• “And talking about the Walkins family, maybe we can use them to achieve our aim.” Harold voiced out.
• Lady Ryan and Micky looked at Harold, Micky voiced out. “What are you trying to say to us?”
• “Look at it very well Grandma. the Walkins family wanted Cassie at all cost, even when she was not even beautiful nor was she perfect in anyway.” Harold began, but stopped abruptly.
• He looked at Micky and Lady Ryan in the eyes, they all have the same thought in their mind, even Harold himself knew about his mistake. Because, saying that Cassie was not beautiful, nor perfect was the joke of the century.
• Actually, in the whole of City J, nobody is as beautiful as Cassie, she had a light and fair skin colour, she also had a round face, who was more suited for a model, in fact due to Cassie beauty, she does not even have a need for cosmetics and makeup, it was like her skin cleanse itself naturally every morning.
• Every woman out there have tones of cosmetics and make up just to keep their skin glowing, and some other even spend a huge fortune just to achieved that glowing skin, but Cassie don’t even need all that, save for her cream and powder, Cassie hardly buy any other things for herself.
• Cassie herself knew how beautiful she was, she seldom tried all she can just to suppressed her beauty, yet it was just impossible for her, her glamour always fished her out in any gathering, that sometimes he always received invitation and flowers everyday, that if she opened a flower shop, she could made a fortune out of selling all the flowers.
• And saying Cassie was not perfect was enough for men outside to beat Harold to death. Cassie was like an Empress of a Kingdom, she was graceful in her walking, stunning in her talk, the way she carried herself with much perfection in everything’s without any flaws, always caused other lady to be jealous of her.
• Even Micky knew about this, Lady Ryan and Harold are also aware of this, hence the reason Lady wanted so much to auction Cassie off to the highest bidder. Just that none of them was ready to admit to Cassie beauty and perfection, to the family, Cassie and he family are the scum and disgrace of the Ryan family.
