- "Mrs. Lucy," the judge said, his voice stern and impatient. "We don't have all day. If you don't have anything to say, then we'll have to move on." He said after Lucy had chosen to stand there, silent and crying. The courtroom was filled with a tense silence, as everyone anxiously waited for what she had to say.
