Chapter 7 You Are Bound With Me
- Tears started forming on my face as I struggled to hold back the flood of emotions overwhelming me. Xavier’s words: “You are bound with me forever; I will not mate, but also not allow you to mate with anyone else. You are mine, and that is not a choice you get to make.” Echoes through my mind, leaving me feeling trapped and suffocated by his possessiveness. The weight of his declaration settled heavily on my shoulders, making me question if I would ever be able to break free from his control.
- I lowered my head, trying to hide the tears streaming down my face, as I realized there was no escape from Xavier’s possessive grip. His words echoed in my mind, haunting me with the realization that I may never truly be free from his control.
- I always wanted a mate, and I always wished that my mate would be loving and supportive, not suffocating and controlling like Xavier. Not someone who is my stepbrother, not someone who hates me for reasons I can’t understand. I yearned for a love that was pure and freeing, not one that left me feeling trapped and powerless.
- “Raise your head up high,” Xavier commanded, his voice dripping with authority. “You belong to me now, and there’s no running away from that.” The weight of his words settled on my shoulders like a heavy burden, suffocating any hope I had left for a better future.
- “I don’t want to be owned by anyone,” I whispered, my voice barely audible.
- Xavier smirked, his eyes glinting with malice. “It’s too late for that now,” he said, his grip tightening on my arm. I hissed as pain shot through my body. I felt someone wet on my arm and realized he had drawn blood.
- Xavier steps back and shocks me, his smirk widening as he sees the fear in my eyes.
- “Open your shirt,” he commanded, his voice cold and commanding. I trembled, knowing that resistance would only make things worse, but still, I shook my head, tears welling up in my eyes. Xavier’s expression darkened as he grabbed me roughly and tore open my shirt, revealing the scars and bruises of the torture and suffering that I suffered every day at the hands of my pack mates. My skin bore the etchings of their cruelty, serving as a constant reminder of the torment I endured.
- “Who did this to you?” He asked, his voice filled with anger and concern.
- I shoved my head, sealing my mouth. I know things will only get worse for me if Xavier knows the truth about my pack mates. I couldn’t risk putting myself in even more danger by revealing their identities.
- Xavier walked towards the drawers, pulled out a first aid kit, and sat on the chair, but not before pulling me with him, making me sit on his lap.
- “What are you doing?” I hesitated, trying to get up, but he held me firmly in place. “I dare you to get up, and you will see just how serious I am,” Xavier said sternly, his grip tightening on my waist. I swallowed nervously, realizing that I had no choice but to stay seated on his lap.
- Xavier opened the first aid kit and began cleaning the wound on my arm, his touch surprisingly gentle despite his earlier aggression. My eyes kept staring at him the way his hands moved with precision, a mix of fear and fascination swirling inside me. His touch as he applied cream to my wound was oddly comforting, causing me to relax slightly against his chest. As he bandaged my arm, I couldn’t help but wonder what had caused his sudden change in demeanor.
- “Better now?” he asked softly, his eyes searching mine for a reaction. I nodded, unable to shake the feeling that there was more to Xavier than met the eye.
- A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, revealing a glimpse of vulnerability that contradicted his tough exterior. “You haven’t changed a bit in all those years,” he remarked, his voice tinged with nostalgia. “You are still the innocent and naïve Henry I used to know.” I chuckled, feeling a sense of familiarity wash over me as memories of our childhood flooded back.
- “Maybe, but we are not the same people we were back then,” I replied, a hint of sadness in my voice as I tried to get up, but Xavier gently placed a hand on my shoulder, stopping me.
- “Why are you back after five years? Why have you suddenly started to show care when you never even bothered to see me once, even if we live in the same pack?” I asked, my voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and frustration. “Just because you came to that, we are mates that you are back after so long?”
- Xavier sighed, his eyes searching mine for understanding. “Something better remains unanswered, for now. And about us being mates, it’s a complicated situation that we both need time to process and figure out.” Xavier’s expression softened, revealing a vulnerability that I hadn’t seen before.
- “Reject me then; I want you to be my mate,” I whispered, my voice barely audible. “I wanted to be loved and accepted, and I know you can never give me that.”
- Xavier’s eyes filled with sadness as he reached out to touch my hand, a silent apology in his gesture. “I can’t do that,” Xavier replied, his tone firm yet gentle. “No matter what I want you, I can’t be the one to give you what you need. But I allow you to choose someone who is not me to be your mate.”
- I stare at him in disbelief. “Why?” Xavier sighed, wrapping his arms around my bare waist and whispering, “I don’t know...”
- “You are the Alpha of our pack, Xavier. You can have anyone you want as your mate,” I said softly, trying to understand his decision. “And as far as I know, you are not interested in men.”
- Xavier chuckled, brushing his hand over my bare skin; his touch was making me lose my mind already. I don’t know if Xavier is controlling his wolf or if he is truly conflicted about choosing a mate.
- “I am not interested in men; I like women; there are big boobs and asses; their wet pussycats are what I crave,” Xavier replied with a mischievous grin, sending a shiver down my spine. “But there’s something about you, Henry, that I can’t seem to resist. Maybe it’s our mate bond, or maybe it’s just the taboo fact of a relationship that excites me.” Xavier’s words sent a wave of confusion through me, unsure of how to navigate this unexpected attraction between us.
- Despite his declaration, there was an undeniable pull, drawing us closer together, leaving me torn between my instincts and my heart. “Xavier…” I whispered, feeling a mix of desire and uncertainty clouding my thoughts. “I don’t know what this means for us, but I can’t deny the connection between us.”
- Xavier reached out to gently touch my hand, his eyes searching mine for understanding. “But I will not claim you. You wanted to reject me; now I will make you feel rejected and unwanted, every day if that’s what you truly desire,” he said softly, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness.
- “What do you mean?” I asked as Xavier lifted me up from his lap and stood up, distancing himself from me. “You will see it yourself,” he replied, his expression unreadable as he turned and walked away, leaving me feeling a mix of confusion and regret.
