Chapter 40 Rogues Attack

• A loud howl broke the tense silence, followed by the sound of heavy footsteps approaching. Opening my eyes, I saw a figure emerging from the shadows—a giant black wolf with piercing yellow eyes. Its presence seemed to command respect from the other wolves, who backed away slowly. Running from the way they came, emptying my room of any signs of my presence, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had stumbled upon something far more sinister than I had anticipated. As I made my escape, the image of those glowing eyes burned and sharp fangs into my memory, leaving me with a chilling sense of dread that lingered long after I had fled. The howl echoed in my mind, a haunting reminder of a far more dangerous threat than I had ever imagined appearing closer and closer to me.
