- Do you want to be the right person for me?” Cody asked, his voice hopeful yet uncertain.
- “What do you mean?” Cody’s vulnerability tugged at my heartstrings. He was once my bully, but now he was opening up to me in a way I never expected. “I mean, do you want to be the one who sees me for who I truly am?” Cody clarified, his eyes searching mine for an answer. “I have been rejected, Henry; a rejected wolf is nothing more than a lost soul wandering in the darkness. And I don’t want to be lost anymore,” Cody confessed, his vulnerability breaking down the walls between us.
