- "Don't stop, don't stop," I chanted in my head like a mantra, using it to stave off the overwhelming terror. As I raced through the forest, the snarls and snaps of nearby wolves echoed around me. The thick coppery scent in the air needed no explanation.
- Fear gripped me so tightly I wanted to flee this town and never look back. But Ethan and Kieran kept me here, driving me toward danger instead of away from it.
