• Alpha Dominic reappeared almost immediately after Leona left. His presence, as commanding as ever, filled the room. After much convincing, he finally unhooked me from the hospital equipment by my bed, agreeing that we both needed to eat. I knew he wasn’t going to leave me alone anytime soon, so it wasn’t a shock when he followed me downstairs to the kitchen.
