Chapter 11 Don’t Be Too Wealthy

  • In the morning, both of them headed to Waterfront Villa. Since Angela didn't have much stuff to carry, they mainly focused on moving Maxwell's belongings this time.
  • The BMW Mini drove into Waterfront Villa; no one stopped Angela this time.
  • As they entered the living room, Angela immediately saw them happily having breakfast in the dining area. She felt left out.
  • Taylor did not even look at Angela and continued to chat happily with Amelia. During these years, Amelia had been studying abroad.
  • She only realized Taylor had another family abroad when Skyla was sick.
  • Even though Taylor ignored Angela, Regina still felt worried about the Waterfront Villa, as they no longer owned it.
  • Regina said, "Angel, you’re finally back. The servants have already tidied up your room. Go and have a look at it."
  • Angela frowned and returned to her room. The room had completely changed.
  • Gloria tentatively said, "Ms. Quinn, Ms. Amelia moved into your room since she saw it was empty. Your room is now on the third floor."
  • Angela sneered. Amelia acted quickly, indeed. But I won’t give up so easily.
  • Going downstairs, Angela headed straight to the dining area.
  • "Amelia, take all your things out of my room. If there's anything left when I come back, I'll just throw it away," Angela said coldly.
  • Amelia replied, "Angel, don't you know? That room is mine now."
  • "Yours? This house belongs to the Quinn family!"
  • Amelia seemed like she was going to cry. Taylor and Regina were immediately heartbroken.
  • Taylor said, "Angel, she’s your younger sister. Can't you be more generous? Aunty Regina has arranged a better room for you."
  • Angela sneered. Generous? Why should I be generous to her?
  • "Sorry, but that's not going to work. If there's still something Amelia left behind at night, don't blame me for being ruthless."
  • Amelia’s face turned even paler. She said, "Mom, I really like that room. I don’t want to live in any other room."
  • "You can live on the third floor now; don’t compete with Angel." Regina had no choice and said, "Tallie, things are getting out of control."
  • Taylor irritably lit a cigarette and said, "Don’t worry, as long as we control Byron’s life, I’ll take ownership of this house back one day."
  • Outside.
  • Zach brought Maxwell’s household items and clothes over.
  • "Put it inside," Maxwell said while leaning against the car.
  • Angela saw his domineering attitude.
  • "Zach, don’t help him. You’re not his underling. Let him do it himself." Angela said. Even though it was some luggage, Maxwell had called Zach to help him move it.
  • Angela took the luggage from Zach.
  • Zach took the luggage back and hurriedly said, "Ms. Quinn, Maxwell hurt his hand, so I helped. It’s alright."
  • "Did you pay him?" Angela stared at Maxwell and said. I also noticed the clothes and household items were all branded and expensive.
  • "I did," Maxwell replied.
  • "Your stuff must be expensive, right? Is your family rich? You seemed to spend money extravagantly." Angela whispered.
  • Maxwell frowned and said, "We’re just an average family."
  • Zach, who had just come out, almost choked after hearing Maxwell’s words. Average family? His monthly salary alone was something others could not even earn in their lifetimes. However, I'd better stay quiet. Maybe it’s some sort of joke between them…
  • "That's good; don't be too rich," Angela said. I am afraid that Maxwell was rich. I hate rich people. My dad cheated when he was rich, which caused my mom's illness and my grandpa's hospitalization. It made everything chaotic.
  • Maxwell frowned as he listened to Angela’s words. She seemed to despise the rich.
  • At this moment, a Bentley slowly entered Waterfront Villa. Sion had never stopped looking at Angela since he entered.
  • "Sion!" Amelia shouted and went over hurriedly. She grabbed Sion’s arms and said, "Angela is so bad. She actually wants me to return the room to her. There are so many rooms in this house. She’s so petty."
  • Sion said, "Her room is indeed the best regarding the position and view in here."
  • Skyla designed the room.
  • "So, do you think I should give it to her?" Amelia said it aggrievedly.
  • Sion kissed her forehead and said, "Of course not. I'll talk to her later."
  • "No," Amelia said. I did not want to have any contact with Angela anymore.
  • "Sion, Angela was moving in with his poor husband. I'm sure I'll suffer a lot."
  • "Husband?"
  • "Yes, she just got married not long ago."
  • Amelia was deliberately telling Sion. Sion will not be obsessed with Angela anymore! She was married!
  • Sion’s face turned gloomy.
