Chapter 12 Find Me at Parker Residence Tonight
- Angela and Maxwell went to the medical center after leaving Waterfront Villa.
- Maxwell’s wound had mostly recovered, and his arms could now move freely. Angela had assigned him to start learning about Traditional herbs.
- Maxwell had such a handsome face and a unique aura. As he sat reading by the door, many girls peeked at him. Some even approached him. However, Maxwell did not like to be disturbed while reading.
- "Hey, can I have your number?"
- Angela had just finished examining a patient when she saw someone approach Maxwell.
- "Maxwell, come in and help me," Angela said.
- "My wife is watching," Maxwell replied calmly to the girl who was trying to flirt with him.
- The girl was stunned. I can’t believe he was already married!
- Angela heard Maxwell’s words. She said, "I didn’t stop you from flirting with other girls."
- Maxwell replied while hugging Angela, "I only flirt with you."
- Angela blushed instantly
- "Take these herbs out to the sun."
- Maxwell knew that she was easily shy, so he did not continue to tease her.
- Suddenly, there was a Bentley parked in front of the medical center.
- Sion had already gotten out of the car when Angela came out.
- Angela asked, "Mr. Parker, what’s the matter?"
- Sion was handsome in the customized shirt. His aura was different than it used to be.
- "Lia said that you got married," Sion said while looking at Maxwell.
- Angela sneered and said, "What’s the problem?"
- "I thought that you still liked me."
- "Cut the bullsh*t. I’m not interested in scumbags like you anymore." Angela said. In the previous year, I could still trust Sion. However, when I saw him with Amelia, I took back my words.
- "Scumbag?" Sion said coldly, "You’re the one who betrayed me first."
- "I’m busy. I don’t have time to waste with you anymore." Angela said this and turned around.
- "Do you want to know the cause of your mom’s death?"
- Angela was stunned. She looked at Sion and said, "What did you say?"
- "Come to my place tonight, and we can talk," Sion said. Before driving away, Sion stared at Maxwell coldly.
- Angela could not forget Sion’s words until the medical center closed.
- Angela was dazed in the car for a while and said, "Maxwell, I have something to settle. Wait for me at the medical center, or you can return home first."
- Maxwell coldly replied, "Are you looking for Sion?"
- Angela was stunned and said, "You eavesdropped on our conversation?"
- "No, I didn’t," Maxwell replied.
- Angela fell silent. I felt guilty after hearing his words. I was definitely being honest; it was odd.
- "I have something to ask him about."
- "What if I don’t allow you to go?"
- Maxwell was somewhat pushy.
- "Maxwell, why are you restricting me?"
- "You are my wife."
- "I know. I promise you, I won’t cheat on you," Angela said softly. I feel like Maxwell is controlling, but I am his boss.
- Maxwell fell silent and took a few puffs of his cigarette. Angela moved over and kissed his face. Then she said, "How about this?"
- Maxwell instantly grabbed Angela and kissed her on the lips.
- "Well…"
- Angela was stunned.
- Maxwell even bit Angela's lips.
- Angela immediately tasted blood and shouted, "Stop!"
- The wound on her face could easily be seen.
- "I’ll go back to Waterfront Villa first," Maxwell said while exiting the car.
- Angela was stunned and took a mirror out. As expected, Maxwell intentionally bit me!
- Angela could still remember Parker Residence. Sion used to give me tuition there. Their family treated me well too. I could feel warmth in his house. And now, all I could feel was disappointment.
- Angela stopped her car in front of Sion’s Parker Residence. The butler, Benjamin, came out and said, "Ms. Quinn, Mr. Parker asked me to pick you up."
- Angela followed him inside the villa and directly to a room. There was a silky smell of cigarettes coming from the room.
- Angela gently pushed the door open and saw Sion on the sofa.
- "Come over," Sion said.
- Angela kept some distance from Sion and said, "What do you know about my mom’s death?"
