Chapter 8 Finally Appeared

  • "I’m sorry. Did I scare you?"
  • Maxwell felt better as the sense of pain gradually dissipated.
  • Angela remained silent. I never expected Maxwell’s symptoms to be so severe. It was not just intense pain anymore. The toxins in his body had affected his emotions.
  • "I’ll find a way to cure you," Angela said.
  • Maxwell frowned as he heard Angela’s words. Even the best doctors can’t help me; how can Angela do so? The Quinn Medical Center may be famous in Brazil, but the toxins in my body would not be easy to remove.
  • "Don't waste your efforts," Maxwell said.
  • "But it makes me feel bad," Angela whispered.
  • Though her voice was soft, Maxwell heard her. I had a hard time growing up in the Xander family, and no one had sympathy for me. But now, someone feels bad because of my illness...
  • After Angela left, Maxwell called Zach.
  • "Send the transfer agreement for the Waterfront Villa to the National Appraisal Institute."
  • The next day, Angela received a call from Stanley.
  • "Had the National Appraisal Institute authenticated the agreement?"
  • "Yes, I'm surprised too. I thought you had connections over there.
  • "It’d be the best since the agreement had been sent to the National Appraisal Institute, as long as the result is good," Stanley said.
  • Angela fell silent and did not overthink. She thanked Stanley and finally felt relieved. The National Appraisal Institute was efficient and provided the results that same night. Angela felt happy as the signature on the transfer agreement for the Waterfront Villa did not match Skyla’s handwriting.
  • "Maxwell, let's eat outside and celebrate!"
  • Angela and Maxwell mostly ate at home for the past few days since they could not cook.
  • "A celebration? How expensive will it be?" Maxwell said. He already imagined Japanese cuisine or hotel dishes.
  • "It’s my favorite! It's 99 dollars per person!"
  • Maxwell fell silent. After half an hour, Maxwell was stunned as he looked at the table full of meat. This meat quality doesn't even come close to what I used to eat.
  • However, Angela seemed to enjoy the meat.
  • Angela asked suspiciously, "Aren't you hungry?"
  • "It doesn't taste good," Maxwell replied.
  • Angela frowned. This is one of my favorite places. How did he dare to say so?
  • However, Angela served Maxwell a freshly cooked piece of beef without any spicy sauce.
  • Maxwell tasted it. Although it could not compare to the beef I usually had, it was still edible.
  • "It’s delicious, right? I used to eat here when I was upset, and things will eventually get better." Angela said it with a smile. However, her face turned gloomy when she saw the news report on television. "Today, Mr. Parker returned to the country with his fiancée."
  • "Angela, what are you doing?" Maxwell asked while looking at the television.
  • Angela turned agitated. Sion, you finally showed up. But why did you come back with Amelia?
  • "I have urgent matters to settle," Angela said, picking up her bag and rushing out.
  • Maxwell’s face turned gloomy. Angela lost her temper when she saw the news about Sion. She must still be thinking about him.
  • Angela quickly drove to the Parker Residence. Sion should be there.
  • However, after waiting for two hours, she did not see anyone. Did Sion go to Waterfront Villa?
  • Angela immediately drove to Waterfront Villa. The iron gate was closed.
  • Angela was blocked outside. "This is my home. Why can't I come in?" She said it angrily.
  • "Sorry, this is the order from Mr. Foster."
  • The guard recognized her, but now Amelia lived here, not her.
  • "Let Taylor come out."
  • Taylor’s face turned unpleasant after he knew Angela had arrived. He instinctively glanced at Sion. In the past, Sion used to date Angela. But now he is dating Amelia, which is much better.
  • "I don't have time right now. Tell her to get lost," Taylor said.
  • After the guard left, Sion asked, "Where is Angel?"
  • Taylor replied, "She doesn’t acknowledge me as her father."
  • Sion was surprised and said, "Is it true?"
  • At that moment, a deafening noise came from outside. A car had forcefully crashed through the iron gate and entered the villa. It was Angela. She got out of the car and went straight to the main building.
  • Sion was stunned. She is still beautiful and gorgeous.
  • Taylor was mad at seeing Angela’s action and quickly went downstairs.
  • Regina immediately came to block her way. However, Angela was faster and had already walked in.
  • "Angela, what are you doing here?" Regina said.
  • Amelia was jealous when she saw Angela. It was she who stole my position for so many years. But luckily, she had been kicked out.
  • Amelia asked softly, "Mom, did she forget something and come back?"
  • Regina frowned and said, "Then go to the store room. She doesn’t belong here."
  • Angela sneered after listening to their words. Do they think this place belongs to them?
  • "Regina, The property you live on belongs to my grandpa! You’re the one who doesn't belong here!"
  • Regina chuckled and said, "Does it belong to your grandpa? Skyla has already transferred it to Taylor!"
  • "Taylor forged a transfer contract with Skyla’s signature, which is illegal! The ownership of this villa is back in Byron's hands!" Angela said it firmly.
