Chapter 5 He's Not Qualified

  • Maxwell's expression darkened. To be honest, he never ate hundred-dollar food.
  • Hearing Angela was going home, Maxwell frowned and called his assistant, Zach Harmon.
  • "Come pick me up at Bayview Residence." Before he hung up the phone, he added, "Drive the cheapest car."
  • Zach was dumbfounded.
  • Although Bruostan was not Maxwell's territory, his industries were everywhere. There was naturally his garage at Bruostan. But even if Maxwell wanted the cheapest car, it was a million-dollar Porsche.
  • Waterfront Villa.
  • When Angela hurried back, it was already evening. The bodyguard guarding the gate told her that her things were in a small warehouse in the backyard.
  • Angela hurried over there. She had lived here for twenty years, and the servants used to treat her respectfully and politely, but even if they passed by her tonight, no servants greeted her.
  • She seemed to be an intruder in the house.
  • Only Gloria Hancock, the maid who cared for her from childhood, still cared about her.
  • "Ms. Quinn, I'm sorry. I tried to persuade Mr. Foster, but he still..."
  • "Aunty Gloria, I know it all. Don't blame yourself. Now you're the only one here willing to talk to me." Angela smiled wryly.
  • Since Skyla passed away a year ago and Taylor brought Regina home, most servants stood at Taylor's side.
  • Angela might soon get replaced by Regina's illegitimate daughter, who was studying abroad.
  • "I'll go with you to clean up." Gloria followed along.
  • At the gate, Davian's coupe had arrived.
  • Regina tidied her shawl. She looked sexy in a silk suspender skirt. Davian's eyes lit up when he saw her.
  • Regina smiled shyly, buttoned her shawl, and said softly, "Mr. Gentry, Angel is in the backyard."
  • Although Davian was lustful, he knew he could not touch Regina. Not to mention he would sleep with a beautiful woman later. He quickly looked away from Regina.
  • "You can't fool me this time. I've been longing for that woman. Since she dared to run away, I won't let her go tonight..." Davian smiled lewdly.
  • Meanwhile, a servant came quietly. "Mrs. Foster, Aunty Gloria is with Ms. Quinn..."
  • "Take her away," Regina said coldly.
  • Although Davian endured it, he kept looking at Regina, who walked elegantly along the way.
  • She knew too well how to show off her beauty, or she would not seduce Taylor successfully.
  • Davian moved closer. "Mrs. Foster, if I don't get that woman tonight, you can replace her..."
  • Davian reached out, and Regina ducked away immediately. Taylor was still at home. Although she likes to seduce men, she should restrain herself.
  • She smiled brightly. "Mr. Gentry, I assure you. Angel is beautiful. I drugged her in advance. You won't be disappointed."
  • Dilapidated warehouse.
  • Gloria went to cook, and Angela was the only one left. When she stepped in, a strange smell made her freeze in vigilance.
  • A coldness flashed across her eyes. The warehouse got deserted for many years, and even the lights broke.
  • Angela could only pick up her things with the flashlight of her phone.
  • Suddenly, she heard the sound of unfamiliar footsteps. Usually, no one came here, but now she was sensitively aware that someone was walking toward the warehouse.
  • The next moment, a fat old figure walked in. Angela raised her hand, and the flashlight shone on Davian's face.
  • "Hey, Babe! I finally caught you..."
  • Under the dim light, Angela's pure and beautiful face was charming and seductive. She was more stunning than any woman he had ever seen.
  • He did not see Angela at the wedding yesterday, and now he wanted her to pay him back!
  • Seeing that Davian was about to pounce on her, Angela backed away. Davian could not see his surroundings clearly and fell to the ground.
  • "Ah! You b*tch! Haven't you been drugged? Did Regina lie to me again?"
  • Davian scrambled to his feet. But when he saw Angela's beautiful face, his anger dissipated again.
  • He believed he could deal with Angela!
  • Kicking a chair away, he ran toward Angela again.
  • Angela's impatience deepened. He's so annoying! He bothers me to pack up!
  • She took out a scent pouch, and Davian immediately smelled something strange.
  • Davian wailed. He felt like he was on fire and could not help but withdraw his clothes.
  • Angela looked at him coldly.
  • She finally understood. No wonder Taylor kindly asked her to clean up her things. There was a conspiracy!
  • She showed hatred. Davian would have taken advantage of her if she had not noticed the drug.
  • "What did you do to me? I'm dying of heat!"
  • "Don't be afraid. You'll feel cold later." Angela sneered. She had sprinkled a powder that would keep Davian hot and cold. He would act like a madman.
  • After walking out with her things, she called the mental hospital.
  • "Hello, here is Waterfront Villa 808. There's a mental patient here. Please come to take him away."
  • After hanging up the phone, Angela contacted her college classmate, who was a reporter.
  • "Hazel, do you want the news about bank tycoon Davian Gentry? Come to Waterfront Villa 808."
  • Angela was holding a small box. She only packed some important personal belongings.
  • As for other sundries, Angela left them in the warehouse. But since Taylor had done so badly to her, she would not sit still.
  • Waterfront Villa was worth hundreds of millions. That was Skyla's property and never belonged to Taylor.
  • Taylor was not qualified to drive Angela out, let alone bring in his lover and illegitimate daughter!
