Chapter 10 Are You Jealous?
- Angela took a deep breath and said, "Dad, as long as you’re willing to accept Maxwell, we can still be a family."
- Taylor frowned instantly. It was all his fault for ruining everything! If Angela were married to Mr. Gentry, we would gain ten million! However, Waterfront Villa was more important now as the value was high on the market. I would not give it up so easily.
- "Alright, you're married. How can I not accept it?"
- "Dad, I’ll move back here with him later," Angela said. They thought they could take Mommy’s house away. No way!
- "What? Maxwell still doesn't have a house?" Taylor said.
- "He indeed doesn't have a house here, and I feel more comfortable living at our home."
- Taylor’s face turned gloomy. As Angela left, Sion was already in Amelia’s room. He was about to leave too.
- Amelia grabbed his arms and said, "Sion, would you stay here tonight?"
- Sion said coldly, "I've got a lot of things to deal with."
- Amelia knew that Sion didn't like clingy girlfriends, so she always kept a distance.
- But now she had to be cautious since Angela was back.
- …
- Angela returned home. She planned to move back to Waterfront Villa tomorrow morning.
- Maxwell was going to move in with her.
- "Finally coming back?" Maxwell said.
- "I just came back from the Waterfront Villa."
- Maxwell remained calm. However, the calmer he looked, the more terrifying it felt. She left me alone in the store just now. No one had ever dared do that to me.
- "Okay," Maxwell replied coldly, returning to his room.
- Angela finally realized Maxwell might be mad. But I had not done anything to upset him. I still need to clarify things with him since we will return to Waterfront Villa tomorrow.
- "Maxwell, I need to talk to you."
- "What's wrong? Still hungry?" Angela gently pushed the door open and said.
- What she saw was Maxwell’s sturdy upper body. She blushed instantly.
- "Maxwell, we’re moving back to the Waterfront Villa tomorrow," Angela said.
- Maxwell changed into his pajamas and opened the door. She looked at him in astonishment.
- "Waterfront Villa? Living with your father and his mistress?"
- Angela nodded and said, "Yes, I don’t want to give the house to them just like that."
- "Since Byron owns the house, you should kick them out!" Maxwell said.
- "Not now," Angela said. Because Grandpa still needed treatment. And I also need to figure out the truth about my Mom’s death. I feel like it will be related to Regina.
- "Maxwell, don’t you want to go back?"
- Maxwell clearly knew how ruthless Taylor and Regina were.
- However, Angela still needed to go back. I am not going to let it go this easily!
- "I’ll follow you, but I need an explanation of what happened tonight," Maxwell said. "What’s the relationship between you and Sion?" Even though I knew the answer, I wanted to know how honest Angela was.
- Angela did not plan to lie to Maxwell. They will definitely meet together at Waterfront Villa.
- "He’s my ex-boyfriend."
- "So you left me behind tonight just for him?" Maxwell said it coldly.
- Angela fell silent. Maxwell’s aura was sometimes terrifying and full of intimidation. I could not stop myself from searching for Sion after seeing the news. But now I realize, What’s the point of it? It was nothing more than making a fool of myself.
- Angela said, "Am I being stupid? In the past, he suddenly broke up with me and disappeared. Now he's back and with Amelia." I don't even know what happened. I did not get the answer either tonight. I had never betrayed Sion.
- Angela’s body was even trembling slightly.
- "It’s quite stupid."
- Angela sniffled and said, "Are you still going to laugh at me?"
- "So, you, my wife, are obsessed with your ex-boyfriend and expect me to comfort you?"
- Angela fell silent. Wife? Is he serious? We had no real feelings for each other. Even if I could not let go of Sion, there was no reason for him to be so angry.
- "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm just angry about his irresponsible behavior." Angela said. With that, she pushed him away.
- Maxwell stopped her from leaving the room and wiped away the teardrops in Angela’s eyes.
- "Angela, remember who you are. I don't want a repeat of what happened yesterday." Maxwell said it coldly while pushing her out of the room.
- "Maxwell, are you jealous?" Angela whispered.
