• •AURORA’S POV•
• The sunlight drifted warmly into Anthony's ward as I adjusted his blanket, tucking the edges neatly under his arms. The doctors had said he was out of danger and now it was left for him to wake up. We were all waiting for that.
• Bella had just left to pick up some supplies from the store, leaving me to keep watch. She’d been so worn down lately, her face pale and her movements sluggish, but she refused to rest. Between the two of us, we had become Anthony’s unofficial caretakers, taking turns at his bedside as though our presence could bring him back to consciousness.
