- As we landed in Rome, a wave of relief washed over me. There was something comforting about being back on familiar grounds, surrounded by familiar air and faces here. The flight had been smooth, but the weight of everything that happened in Singapore hung over us like a dark cloud in some way tho we don’t plan on letting it dwell, we are home and everything will be fine. Despite Matteo’s attempt to lighten the mood during the fight, I could still sense his tension. Something was bothering him but I didn’t know what it was.
- I squeezed his hand as we exited the plane. "We’re home," I whispered, glancing up at him. He nodded, but I could tell his mind was elsewhere.
