• “Okay, keep me updated Doctor…..Yes, thank you.” And the line goes dead.
• The past days after the incident seemed like long months to me, each passing moment feeling heavier than the last. Anthony was still in the ICU, his body fighting a battle that none of us could help him with. Bella had given her blood, and though the doctors had stabilized him, they were cautious.
