Chapter 46

• EMILY'S POV
• I woke up this morning feeling absolutely awful. My head was pounding, and my throat was sore, making it hard to swallow. Every inch of my body ached, and it felt like someone had hit me with a truck. I tried to get out of bed, but as soon as I sat up, I felt dizzy and weak.
• I knew I couldn't call in sick to Mrs. Isabella's restaurant, but I couldn't go in feeling like this. I checked my phone to see if I had any messages from her, but there was nothing. I couldn't risk calling her and having anyone hear my voice especially after what happened yesterday. I was still on the run from my former pack, and I didn't want anyone to recognize me.
