Chapter 33

• As I slowly opened my eyes, I couldn't see anything clearly. Everything was blurry, and my head felt like it was going to explode. The pain was excruciating, and my head was pounding like a drum. I tried to move, but my body felt heavy, and I couldn't feel my legs. Panic set in, and I tried to scream, but no words would come out of my mouth.
• As my vision slowly cleared, I saw that I was in a hospital room. The walls were a bland white, and there were machines beeping and whirring around me. My heart started to race as I realized that I didn't know how I ended up here. The last thing I remembered was being pushed out of the cab, and then everything went dark.
• I tried to move again, but this time, I managed to lift my hand. The movement was slow, and my arm felt heavy. I brought my hand to my face, and as I did, I noticed the IV line attached to my arm. A cold shiver ran down my spine as I realized that I was hooked up to machines. The beeping sounds were coming from a monitor above my head.
