  • Tears warmed my eyes. And I had to take a few deep breaths to avert them from pouring out. It might not be the wedding every girl dreamt of, but it was a wedding. My wedding.   • “Well, truth to be told, I had no intention to,” she said bluntly, meeting my gaze in the mirror, before a heavy sigh slipped her lips, followed by a small smile. “But turns out my daughter has a special bond with you and,” she chuckled, giving her head a little shake. “It was the first time she asked me for something. I couldn’t say no.”
