Chapter 49 Calming Down

• "Miracle, what's really bothering you?" Charlotte handed a cup of warm tea to Miracle, hoping it would help her calm down. She sat beside Miracle, taking the box of medicine that had just been delivered by the servant. Charlotte then helped treat the wound on Miracle's neck. "Why did you get hurt like this, Miracle?"
• "Me and Mateo had a fight." Miracle held the cup of tea, her gaze wandering into the distance. She winced slightly as Charlotte applied alcohol to her wound. But a few seconds later, Miracle's face looked so gloomy. Her eyes were swollen and red. Although her tears had subsided, the deep pain in her eyes was still evident.
• Charlotte covered Miracle's wound with a bandage. Fortunately, Miracle's wound was not deep. "What's really going on, Miracle? Why did you fight with Mateo?" she asked again.
