Chapter 21 Unexpected Period
- Lewis and Tess were locked in a passionate kiss. Tess's kisses were a bit clumsy, clearly those of a novice, passively responding. She thought about her fleeting youth and wondered if she should leave some beautiful memories behind.
- As Lewis was about to go further, Tess grabbed his mischievous hand and said seriously, "Lewis, do you really like me? Or do you just want to have fun with me? Don't lie to me; I just want to hear your true feelings."
- Lewis's desire fizzled out at Tess's words. Truth be told, he had never experienced a genuine relationship. While living abroad, he had encountered numerous women, but their connection was purely physical, never emotional. As for Winona, their arrangement was clear as they would part ways in three years. Yet, Tess's beauty captivated him, particularly her sweet, childlike voice, which he found alluring. Lewis believed Tess would make the perfect wife.
