Chapter 2 I Won't Let You Marry The Wrong Person
- Ye Manxi tightly hugged Huo Miao's head.
- Splash! A foul, cold, and thick liquid poured onto Ye Manxi's back. When they saw someone helping Huo Miao block it, the two of them were disappointed.
- "What is this? You just got married and you're already protecting this blind man?"
- "I'm very curious!" The eldest bent over to look at Ye Manxi's beautiful face. "How do you moan at night? Can't make any sound?"
- "Otherwise..." The second smirked and said, "I can record a moaning sound for you. When you two are intimate, you can play the recording. It's better than having no sound at all!"
- "Hahaha." The eldest laughed so hard that he couldn't catch his breath. "This idea is good, but our cousin can't see. Will it work during the wedding night?"
- "Intimacy depends on emotions, right?"
- Listening to their vulgar language, Ye Manxi let go of their hands, knowing that they had run out of things to say, and carefully checked if Huo Miao had been splashed with ink.
- Fortunately, not a drop had landed on his face.
- But he had become so thin, with pale cheeks and lips. His eyes were dim and lifeless, like a black gem buried under the dust.
- Ye Manxi trembled and had the urge to wipe away the dust in his eyes.
- When she had seen him a while ago, he was still the epitome of vitality and confidence. But now...
- "Luhe, is that you?" Huo Miao finally spoke.
- Ye Manxi put her hand into his cold hand, and only then did she notice the cuts all over his hand, as if they had been cracked by the cold.
- Ye Manxi immediately took off her coat and put it on Huo Miao. She was only wearing a thin white wedding dress underneath, which accentuated her graceful figure.
- The two men swallowed their saliva and their eyes lingered on Ye Manxi's exquisite body.
- The eldest's tone changed a bit, "This girl has a good figure."
- "Let's help our cousin inspect the merchandise. He can't see and doesn't know if it's good or bad."
- "Yes, that's a good idea." They rubbed their hands together and lewdly approached Ye Manxi.
- She didn't dodge or move, standing firmly in place.
- They thought she was scared silly and laughed without restraint.
- One of them grabbed Ye Manxi's arm, and drooling saliva was about to drip down, "Oh, the arm is so smooth."
- As soon as the words fell, Ye Manxi reached out and grabbed their wrists.
- "You're quite cooperative, little girl. You have potential. Oh, my hand is numb..."
- Ye Manxi had a smile on her face, but she exerted force in her grip.
- Coming from a family of traditional Chinese medicine, she had studied acupoints on the human body with her grandparents since she was young. She knew exactly how many acupoints were on a person's arm and what each acupoint's function was.
- The expressions on the two young masters' faces changed from pleasure at the beginning to unbearable pain after a few seconds. They couldn't even scream or struggle, only left with one hand that could move to scratch their ears and cheeks.
- Although Huo Miao couldn't see, he could hear.
- His two cousins suddenly became silent, replaced by the sound of gasps. He didn't know what Ye Manxi was doing.
- He reached out to her and calmly said, "Luhe, come here."
- The butler at the door saw that something was wrong and quickly spoke up, "Young masters, you should go back early. Today is a special day for the young master and young mistress."
- Ye Manxi turned her head and glanced at Huo Miao, then let go.
- The young masters fell to the ground, writhing like cut-up leeches.
- Ye Manxi walked towards Huo Miao, her tone still indifferent as if it had nothing to do with her, "Ignore them, a bunch of pitiful creatures."
- The butler came over to help the young masters up and casually said, "Take good care of the young master, young mistress!"
- Ye Manxi squatted down to clean up the mess on the floor, but as soon as she bent down, Huo Miao pulled her up.
- He pulled Ye Manxi in front of him, his vision completely black, without even a blurry shadow.
- His pitch-black, yet lifeless eyes wandered over Ye Manxi's face, but eventually gave up.
- He didn't expect Ye Lühe to actually marry into the family. He reached out his hand towards her and softly asked, "Can I touch your face?"
- Ye Manxi hesitated a bit, after all, she wasn't Ye Lühe.
- However, Huo Miao's cold palm was already resting on Ye Manxi's cheek, and his thin fingers slowly slid across her face.
- Ye Manxi's heart thumped rapidly, unsure if the blind Huo Miao could discern the difference between her and Ye Lühe through his touch.
- His fingers lingered above her eyes, gently caressing, "Lühe, why did you still marry a blind man like me?"
- He didn't recognize her, and Ye Manxi breathed a sigh of relief.
- She stared at Huo Miao, who was still as handsome as ever despite his thinness, almost foolishly.
- She couldn't speak, so there was no need to answer.
- Huo Miao suddenly embraced Ye Manxi in his arms and whispered in her ear, "Luhe, don't worry, these days won't last long, you haven't married the wrong person."
- She had never doubted, she just hoped that Huo Miao would always realize that he hadn't married the wrong person.
- She nestled quietly in Huo Miao's arms, although he had become so thin that he was just skin and bones, his chest was still broad, still able to shelter her from the wind and rain.
- Huo Miao gently pinched her chin and lifted her head. The sunlight shone through the window without glass, illuminating his dim but still profound eyes, giving them a sparkle.
- He lowered his head and kissed Ye Manxi's lips.
- It was her first kiss, and she trembled, almost on the verge of tears.
- When Huo Miao and Ye Luhe were in love, she had once caught a glimpse of them at Ye's house. She could only hide in the corner and secretly watch him.
- In Huo Miao's eyes, there was no one but Ye Luhe. She never expected that one day Huo Miao would kiss her so passionately.
- She closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling, and joyfully accepted Huo Miao's kiss.
- Suddenly, the door was forcefully pushed open, and the middle-aged maid stood at the door, looking disapprovingly.
- "Young master, young mistress, it's time for dinner! Even if a moment of passion is worth a fortune, there's no need to be in such a hurry!"
