Chapter 57 I Am Yours And You, Will Be Mine
- Marius had a clear reason why he sought a virgin girl this time. He was tired of encountering copies of Lucrecia. And if there was one thing he discovered over time, it was that everyone he ever dealt with were simply human beings madly in love at some point and hurt afterwards. They were battered human beings who no longer trusted putting themselves in someone else's hands to be released into free fall or, worse yet, to have their fists clenched and suffocated.
- That's why he wanted to find a woman before that moment arrived, before someone broke his heart and ruined him, even though he would possibly end up being that someone, the person who would take the best of that inexperienced young girl and leave a tough armor with his name engraved on the lock for whoever came next. It might seem egocentric, even narcissistic, and maybe he was, but he wasn't looking for a girlfriend, just entertainment, and he had the right to choose each of the qualities of that entertainment.
- But everything changed when he met Noelia and turned his world upside down, his entire conception of the different stages people go through when relating to others. That girl made him realize that it didn't matter what life one had before, or the armor one may carry, because even Superman was weak to kryptonite, and if not even a seemingly indestructible superhero from space could maintain all his invulnerability against a rock, how would a common human being do it in front of the right person?
