Chapter 18 It Is Absolutely Necessary
- It was the first time that Noelia missed someone other than her mother. She opened her eyes and realized she was lying on a very large and comfortable bed, too comfortable to willingly leave. However, she knew she had to get up. She couldn't spend the whole day in bed; she had to resume her normal life as soon as possible.
- She slowly sat up, stretching and letting out a deep sigh that caused a couple of tears to escape from her eyes. She wiped them away with her hand before getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom. It was a very different bathroom from her own, where she didn't have to shout when stepping under the freezing cold water because the idiot living downstairs had used up all the hot water while showering. She had to quickly take a shower, hoping not to catch a cold. However, she smiled like a fool when she read the note left by her lover before leaving the bed. Even though she would have preferred to see him, reading that note written in his own handwriting made her think that he would have preferred to stay with her, or at least wake up by her side.
- This time, Noelia enjoyed a long shower under warm water. She didn't get out until her hands were as wrinkled as Grandma Toto's, the sweet old lady from apartment 112.
