• Marius was not surprised to find his little sister talking animatedly with Brigitte, sitting at one of the tables by the pool while watching Bruno play in the small pool. He had always been fascinated by their close relationship, as Brigitte was usually quite serious with everyone, but when it came to Ariadna, she seemed to relax and even have fun with her. That genuine smile was proof of it, and he liked seeing Brigitte like that. Brigitte had been his trusted person for several years, sometimes his bodyguard, sometimes the one with the girls he was with, his driver, and always loyal to him. If there was someone who knew everything about him without ever expressing an opinion, that person was undoubtedly Brigitte. So, seeing the friendship she had forged with Ariadna over the years was something that reassured him, especially considering how wild his younger sister had been in the past.
• "Dad!" Bruno shouted happily upon seeing his father arrive, causing Brigitte to tense up and stand up from her chair to appear more distant. She had the strange thought that her boss might be upset about their friendship, little did she know that he enjoyed seeing them together. Ariadna, on the other hand, looked in his direction to observe her brother's companion, the one who had dared to put Lucrecia in her place. Her smile widened as she watched her nephew jump into his father's arms, soaking his clothes completely.
• "Don't wet me, Bruno," Marius complained, but he didn't erase his smile. Having his son close was a great reason to be happy. In his presence, the Frenchman lost his cold demeanor and became very warm and friendly. "I guess it's too late now," he said, taking his son in his arms and showering him with kisses before looking towards the pool changing rooms. "Let me put on my swimsuit and I'll join you in the water."
