- Darius led Cyrus out of the café, his grip firm yet gentle as if afraid Cyrus might slip away again. The moment they stepped outside, the morning sun cast a warm glow over them, but the tension from their conversation still lingered in the air.
- Cyrus had been quiet the entire walk to the car. Darius could feel the way his fingers twitched slightly against his palm, like he wanted to say something but didn’t know how. Darius didn’t push him. Instead, he focused on getting them back to his office, where Cyrus could have space to breathe.
