Chapter 23
- The soft tapping of Darius’s keyboard filled the room as I lounged on the couch in his office. It had been a few days since our park outing, and I found myself craving his presence more and more. I hadn’t planned to spend so much time here, but Darius always made me feel welcome.
- A coloring book and a box of crayons sat on the table in front of me. I absentmindedly doodled, the familiar motions calming my nerves. I glanced over at Darius, his sharp features illuminated by the glow of his laptop. He looked so focused, so in control, yet whenever he spoke to me, there was a warmth in his tone that melted my walls.
- Colouring is now something I enjoy all the time and Darius has spoilt me by buying different colouring books even before I finish the previous ones. I remember going to Darius's house for the first time. It was just the day before yesterday.
