• MARIAH'S POV
• Mariah Gonzalez is my name and I know that you probably hate me for what happened with my boss that night but seriously, I truly hope you would understand that being the person I was and the person he was, I could not resist him. It was seemingly something I had to do or there would be no way out and I seriously did not want to get on the bad side of my boss.
• Perhaps if you could see through my eyes, you would understand. Being born in the family where I had been born, far into the most deadly ghetto areas with four brothers who were doing absolutely nothing with their lives, I could not lose my job for fear of returning to the slums where all we see is the reflection of the gangsters and their vanity.
