• I knew at this point that my marriage to Emilio had just been set up on hold indefinitely because I had absolutely no idea for how long I would be staying away from him but if I was being honest, I slightly wished he had not torn the divorce papers.
• All these years, I had been living with a man that believed I had been cheating on him. Now the most funny aspect of it all was the fact that the very same lawyer whom I trusted had been the one orchestrating the entire situation. I had no idea what to make of all of this but I needed to leave.
• "Sam, please. Let's just talk." Emilio said to me as I walked inside.
