Chapter 11 The Day You Went Away

• It was almost six in the morning, but her eyes were still wide open. She couldn't count how many messages she had sent to Brent, but not one of them had received a reply. Brent's cousin had woken up, so she cooked for her before she went back home. She also asked her to tell Brent to come to her house.
• She couldn't fight the sleepiness anymore, so she dozed off before 8 AM. She woke up just before noon and checked her phone again to see if there were any messages from Brent. Still nothing. She tried calling him again, but his phone was turned off.
• She took a shower and got dressed because she had decided to visit him. Her stomach had been growling for a while, but she wasn't in the mood to eat. After getting dressed, she went straight to Brent's aunt's house, where he was staying. She spoke with Joli, but she was told that neither Brent nor his cousin Jojo had come home yet. She didn't press any further and didn't insist on being let in. Worried, she called Brent again, and this time, the phone rang.
