Chapter 6

• I acted normal as I watched the game quietly with Jane eye on me like she could swallow me up if I let her.
• "Isn't Mark so cute!" Alexia squealed, and I smiled but it watched off immediately it landed on Jane again.
• "Just spill it out already" I sounds so defeated but it's better that have her angry face on me.
• "If you are his sister from nowhere, why does he cares so much about you and even trust you" She asked, in a harsh tone.
• "And what's that supposed to mean?" I questioned but Alexia ruined the moment and screamed out loud for the guys.
• "Let go girls, we will teach her a lesson later. This place is too crowded and we need to practice for the cheerleading presentation" Jane rolled her eye, and flung her hair to my face before she walked away with her maniac.
• I just rolled my eye and focused back on the game even though my thoughts were still on Jude's girlfriend. Why is she mutiple- character in school for no reason or is it because of what happened last night at dinner.
• "Thanks for keeping my bag safe" Mark jogged up to us after the first half of the match was done and I passed him a water.
• "Thanks princess" He complimented.
• "I'm actually Donna" I faked a smile and quickly frowned when I saw Jude coming our way too.
• "I think I will leave you with Alexia now, an emergency at the classroom" I stood up and rushed out of the basketball court without waiting for any response from either mark or Alexia.
• I rushed straight to the class and thankfully no one was there so I sat down and seized the opportunity to relax my head. I brought out my phone and streamed through my messages and I got another text from Tim but this time it was a video of my father laying on the bed and my heart clenched hard.
• I was about to send a reply instantly when a familiar voice interrupted and I hide my phone from being seen.
• "What are you doing here, Jude?" I rolled my eye, after I realized he was the one.
• "I'm done finalising the documents to you. I know you can read well so there is no point explaining anything to you" He responded, and with that he disappeared again.
• I was left alone again and with the urge to check out Jude message if it was true.
• " How did he even get my number?". The bell ranged and student started walking in one after the other so I hide my phone back after making a promise to check it out immediately soon was over.
• "Why did you you just leave Ike that?" Alexia asked, but before she could get a reply from me. The teacher walked in and we all settled down, it was a long day at school and I was glad it finally came to an end.
• I waited at the garage and I was excited when I sighted the car that dropped up this morning coming my way and it stopped right at my front.
• "Good evening, ma'am and sir" He bowed, and opened the door. I turned only to see Jude coming too.
• "Thanks" I rolled my eye, and got in but we had to wait for him to finish up with his friends before leaving.
• I was glad when he didn't say a word throughout the drive back home but he looked so uncomfortable for a reason and won't stop stealing glances at me.
• "Seeing the way you are calm, that shows you haven't opened the documents yet" He muttered, and I remembered straight up about what he said earlier.
• "And why should I?. It must be some stupid stuffs in there" I shrugged, and turned back to my phone expecting a reply from Tim since I messaged him but he wasn't responding.
• "Okay" that was all he said, before he leaned back his head and closed his eye. That even made me more curious of what he had in there, so I went straight to my mail and not to be surprised it was there.
• The car halted, and I kept my phone in my pocket and alighted. We both made our way inside with the maid waiting to bow at us till we got in.
• "Surprise!" a very beautiful feminine voice shouted and we both turned to see where it was coming from.
• My eye twitched at the sight of a woman who looked so much like me, she had the same weird black long hair like mine and not to talk of the sharp edge nose that was calling my attention.
• "Mom" I muttered, with an hope I hadn't mistaken any stranger for my mother. There was a long silence and she stared at me for so long until Jude interrupted with a cough.
• "Dad, you said Friday!"
• "Ain't you glad I'm back early, and this must be Donna. Right?" The man walked up to me and held my hands.
• "And you are?..." I uttered.
• "Your mom's husband and your step dad, Jacob. It's nice meeting you" He patted my hands, and smiled while I just stared at him trying to process what was happening but instead of an embracing arms around me from mom she ran upstairs instantly.
• "Sweetheart" He called, and I just watched her leave.
• "I will handle this, Jude I will be back" the man said, and ran after his wife that I'm yet to be convinced was my mom.
• What's up with the attitude, why would she ignore me and leave like that?.
• "Looks like someone just got a bombshell dropped on her" Jude said, and walked away.
• I stood there like an idiot for few minutes before I went away to my room and slammed the door leaving a loud bang.
• "Are you trying to bring the building down!" Jude yelled, but I was less bothered about him but my Mom actions after she saw me.
• Was she disappointed?.
• Do I not look anything like her?.
