Chapter 45

• I have been stuck here for the last three hours and nothing happened, nobody stopped to help as expected because with the rain it was already darker than usual and the fact that I must have broken something because the car shut off and now it won't start again really isn't helping. Oh and I am bored. I have nothing to do and nobody to come rescue me. I doubt if Liam has even noticed that I was staying away longer than necessary. I was hoping that he would have been here by now.
• I tried breaking the windows but that wasn't happening and the door wouldn't open with it being stuck three quarters of the way into the ditch. The electric windows aren't working because the car won't start, so I can't even just open them and climb out. I laughed at myself because I felt really stupid at the moment. Before long, the tears were back again.
• Mum had chosen Harold. She didn't even think twice and just blatantly chose him over dad. Dad was the man who stood by her side for longer, who was her first love and her sweetheart. She used to tell me all these wonderful stories about how they met and how she was so scared because he was so out of her league and yet he had wanted to spend time with her and later on asked her out. I had thought that she would have chosen dad, but boy was I wrong. I just want to have my mum and dad together again like it was when I was still younger before the accident. Laughing and making jokes with each other while sitting and drinking their wine on the living room couch.
