Chapter 27 Remorse?

• Dane got up from her when he had his fill and was panting hard from the vigorous exercise. He donned his clothes while looking at her with an evil eye. His shirt was left unbuttoned.
• Scarlet's eyes were glued to the surface of the ceiling. The fact that she would blink her eyes every so often was the only evidence that she was still alive.
• She raised her trembling hand and pulled the cover up to the top of her chest in an attempt to hide her body from his rapacious eyes, even though her hair already accomplished most of the hiding for her.
