• Dane ascended with determination and entered the room where she lay. It was a room oddly out of place in a warehouse, meticulously prepared for her arrival since the previous day, a detail that might raise eyebrows among the unaware.
• He halted as he approached the white bed where she was still sleeping soundly and observed her for a moment longer. She appeared peaceful and unaware of her surroundings.
• He then turned away and walked over to the small window, peering out at nothing but the dense trees outside before hearing the faint stirrings from the bed and her soft sighs that indicated she was on the brink of waking.
