• "Calm down, Love. Everything is going to be okay. I am here with you, okay?" Ethan said. Ethan and I were on his parent's floor, sitting in the family room and waiting for my father and his family to arrive. Ella was sitting on the couch on the other side of me as we waited for Eric and Tammie to return with my father and his family.
• "I know you are with me and that I have nothing to worry about," I said truthfully, but even though I knew Ethan would always be there for me, I was still worried about how everyone was going to react. What if my father didn't accept me? What if he was coming here to tell me that he wanted nothing to do with me? That would be so painful. Ethan pulled me on top of his lap and wrapped his arms around me, which calmed me instantly.
